Today my mum came asked for lessons on how to pronounce the name in an email she had been sent.

Here's how it went down.

M: hey hey, can i ask you a question?
C: yeah...
M: how do you say this name? *points to the name MERIDETH*
C: mer-uh-dith
M: merrr-uh-duh
C: No. mer-uh-DITH
M: mer-uh-DUH.
C: no. facepalm it's like saying Judith. how do you say Judith?
M: Ju-DEH
C: noooo mum. it's ju-DITH.-DITH mum, -DITH! mer-uh-DITH.
M: Ju-DEF! mer-uh-DEF!

The conversation went on for another 5 minutes.
LOL  think she's stressed out because she's has to meet this Merideth chick tomorrow at work.

[edit 11:09]: She's been practicing for the past 10 minutes. I think she's finally mastered Judith's name.
