The last time I checked in was more than a year and a half ago.
I think it's fair to say I suck at this whole consistently blogging thing.
I think i'm gonna try start this up again.
Just so people know that I am still alive and kicking.
So this semester we have a subject called Exercise Health and Wellbeing.
It's a pretty fun subject where we basically learn the principles of exercise prescription for different patient and client groups with different goals. Plus our classes mostly involve of us simulating client interactions and doing exercises in the Gym
Pretty sweet eh?
The minimum amount of exercise recommended by the ACSM for adults is:
150 mins/wk of moderate-intense exercise
How much do you do?
Feeling inspired guilty, my friend and I decided it was time to work up our fitness levels
so we can stuff ourselfs with whatever crap we want. so we can prescribe exercise more effectively
And so far it's been pretty good.

trials: the cheapo asian way |
The first group class I went to was the BodyPump class. Our instructor was this shockingly over-enthusiastic guy who had the resemblence of a buffer, more elite version of Mike Ross from Suits. He must have known we were new, because he kept turning to ask us how were were doing though his microphone. so embarrasing. Mind you, 20 minutes in my friend and I were almost dying.
Lift your knees! Lift them up high!
no.
The choreography was so confusing as well,
half the time I felt like I was just aimlessly wailing my arms in the air.
So much FLAIL. |
This fitness frenzy may be shortlived.
But we'll see how we go...
Choo out.
